Jo Mendel is an artist / illustrator who is based in Montreal.
He specializes in graphic, surreal, emotional, colourful imagery.
He is inspired by a great deal of things, some of which include:
Expressionism, Surrealism, Fauvism, Art Nouveau, ancient and
contemporary Japanese art and graphics, street art, pop culture,
random things from day to day life (including random unplanned
compositions of garbage on the sidewalk), as well as spontaneous
metaphors for his own emotions.
